You are one of a kind. No one has your story. It's a fingerprint of words with swirls, twists, and turns that are yours alone. It's in your story that you live and make decisions and choices every day. It's what we tell ourselves, how we manage our lives. Your story can hold you back or propel you forward. What and who are you becoming? There are times in our lives when everything shifts, sometimes of our own doing, and sometimes from things out of our control. But...we do have control of how we walk into our future, and that's where you and I come together to help you figure out your next step, whether small or grand. Beginning again isn't a bad thing. In fact, it offers freedom. The freedom to make choices.

I believe there's a story behind every part of your health, whether it's the desire to lose weight, to exercise again, or to go after that long-forgotten dream. Dragonfly. Why is it symbolic of change?
In different cultures, dragonflies are symbols of change and transformation. During their natural metamorphosis from aquatic nymphs to airborne adults, they demonstrate they are adept at changing from one thing to another, mirroring personal growth and development.

They represent self-realization, mental and emotional maturity, and the ability to move beyond surface-level perceptions to understand the deeper meaning of life. They are associated with the idea of shedding old ways and embracing mature perspectives, understanding life is a multifaceted journey.

The way the dragonfly glides across the water's surface is seen as a symbol of seeking what lies deep beyond the surface. A dive into spiritual and mental exploration to the deeper meaning and purpose in life.

How long does coaching
take to make a difference?
What can I be coached on?

The outcome, although never a guarantee, is up to you. You are the expert of your own life. It's up to you to make a life change, goal, or dream a reality. Three months is the minimum time frame to realistically create sustainable change.
​
The area of focus depends on you and what is most important right now. We can explore any facet of health and wellness, from big topics to small ideas, even just creating the habit of making your bed. The core areas to consider are: Sleep, Movement, Nutrition, Relationships, Resiliency, Spirituality, Environment, or whatever topic resonates with you.

I've had coaching partners work on cleaning out rooms, creating weekly menus, to getting in more movement.

What is the difference between coaching and therapy?
Coaching and therapy have been called cousins. Therapy dives deep into your past, traumas, emotional and mental healing. The education component is also different. We won't ignore your past, the stories that shaped and shape you, but we won't stay there. It's more of a jumping off point. During your Sneak Peek, we can decide if coaching is your best option.

Coaching can take you to the next level in your life. Oftentimes, we get stuck in the change phase of Contemplation, wanting to move forward, but can't seem to budge. We'll explore the different core areas of health and narrow it down to what's best right now.

*Previous background & experience in a health-related field

*250-hour Integrative Health & Lifestyle Program

*Completed & passed requirements for coaching program: over 200 hours of training, including 35 hours of face-to-face, faculty-led training & 28 total mentor-supervised practice hours
​
*Rigorous evaluations of live coaching sessions, Motivational Interviewing skills using proven MITI scoring by outside evaluator & documentation of 100 hours of practice coaching sessions.

*Rigorous studying & passing of the National Board of Health & Wellness Coaching exam

I'm here to guide you through a process of discovering what's
important to you and why. With a methodically proven coaching
method; we'll walk down a road to holistic health and well-being,
to feel empowered to achieve your self-determined and
self-authored goals.

By cultivating mindfulness and focusing on self-care, a natural
flow of thought and awareness becomes accessible, resulting in
self-discovery and action-oriented processes.

You are comprised of physical, mental, emotional, spiritual, and
relational elements, and each part affects the others. I will work
to help you integrate these parts to create wholeness, not by
telling you what to do or giving advice, but by inviting you to

Just like in therapy, a health and wellness coach learns and
applies different methods, theories, and modalities that are
well-established and supported by evidence. Two techniques
are Motivational Interviewing and Appreciative Inquiry,
among others.
